A fine example of an early 20th century brass inlaid mahogany mantel clock. The clock is in a Georgian design and has French eight day works by Samuel Marti that strike the hour on a gong. The clock case is high quality mahogany decorated with brass inlays, gilt brass mounts, finials, patera and wonderful claw feet. The brass and silverised dial has engraved the retailer's name 'Hamilton & Inches Edinburgh'. The clock is in very good original condition and is in full working order.
