Fantastically detailed very large model of a sailing ship probably modeled on an Eastern or Barbary coast type vessel. This hand carved wooden model would make a great center piece and talking point - perfect for a large hallway, or would look fantastic featured in an Hotel or Inn. The ship is secured to a wheeled wooden base for easy movement. Age is uncertain -probably first half of the 20th century, but the whole item has a lovely patina which does suggest some age.
I am assured by the previous owner that this ship will actually float should you desire to try...
