    JEAN ARNAVIELLE A large signed oil on canvas by the French decorative painter Jean ARNAVIELLE, this stunning work depicts ladies by a fountain and on bathing. Fully signed lower left, the work is in lovely condition.

    ABOUT THE ARTIST:  ARNAVIELLE, Jean
     
    French, 20th century, male.
     
    Born 1881, in Paris; died 1961.
     
    Painter. Landscapes, genre scenes. Decorative panels.
     
    Jean Arnavielle's landscapes of the Île-de-France and Normandy are composed in the manner of Marquet. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants in Paris from 1907 onward.
