Georgian serpentine mahogany chest of drawers. Circa; 1810. Superb quality four straight drawer chest of drawers, fully sympathethically restored within our own workshops, Nice clean example with figured mahogany draw fronts. satinwood stinging on the canted corners and drawer front fieldings. Raised on bracket feet. Georigian serpentine chests of drawers remain the most opulent of all chests of drawers. Although in recent years these chests have come down in price along with most other good furniture, this situation will not last. These kind of fine chests of drawers in good condition were sold between £4-7000, not so long ago. With America's economy finally now on the rise again, in our oppinion these present low price's will not last much longer. If you want the best,and at bargain prices, these are the kind of pieces we believe will rise again soon. After all there is nothing any better for a chest of drawers ever made than good Georgian serpentine pieces.
