An early 20th century George V sterling silver desk standish. The stand has two glass inkwells that are star cut underneath, with facet cut shoulders, sterling silver collars and hinged lids. The stand is oblong with a shaped edge and stands on four hoof feet. The stand has two long depressions to hold pens and two raised edge inkwell holders. The stand and inkwell lids have sterling silver hall marks for Chester, the year 1911 and the maker's mark for S Blanckensee & Son Ltd. The standish is in very good condition.
