An early 19th century George IV mahogany fire screen. The screen has a needlework panel of a basket of flowers held behind glass in a mahogany frame and a silk backing on the opposite side. The screen has a pair of carved shaped legs to each end with a serpentine cross rail and fluted turned upright supports that have carved and scrolling decoration. The screen is in very good original condition, the silk backing has minor shrinkage marks.
