george ii style carved and gilded mirror

Circa 1990s. A quality George II style carved and gilded mirror. The top surmounted by a gilded Hoho bird standing on an elegant C scroll. The broken pediment with flower heads and flowing Rococo carving, walnut and gilded sections with a rectangular bevel edged mirror to the center, contained in a finely carved beaded frame. Walnut to the outside and both sides have pierced carved gilded foliate carving flowing from top to the bottom of the shaped frame.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
