Exquisite French Art Nouveau gilt metal centrepiece with glass liner c1890. Diamond shaped, pierced and repoussé framework formed from stylised butterfly, flower and foliate motifs - the essence of Art Nouveau style. Heavy clear glass liner. Framework and liner unmarked. The centrepiece measures (maximum dimensions) 21 cm width and 13 cm depth and is 11.5 cm in height.
The centrepiece is in very good condition commensurate with age. The liner has no chips or cracks. No loses to the framework. The gilt has age related patina which would polish out if desired. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
