Circa 1880, late Victorian French crystal and gilded brass chandelier. The tent form top has a stylish foliate circular pediment. Beneath this, the first bezel carries several strands of faceted glass which taper down to the next section, and elongated sections of cut glass at the top. The main bezel has Prince of Wales plumes raised all the way around and swags designs beneath. From this protrude 8 Rococo arms with open pierced sconces. Below this are 3 further tapering sections with continuous strands of elongated glass sections in a waterfall style. There is a large cast brass foliate finial in the centre which finishes off the chandelier. Recently rewired for electricity.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
