Original Antique French Large Ebony Bracket Clock

Lovely mantel clock dating to around 1880-1890. Made of mahogany solid ebonised wood with carved case with beautiful bronze ormolu with turn finial and carved bun feet. This is a really impressive clock so please make sure you check out the pictures as they do not illustrate the size very well. The clock is in beautiful condition and good working order.Case

- Carved caddy roof classical design case with four turn ormolu finials
- Hinged bevelled glass door with a textured brass bezel to the front to allow access to dial and winding holes
- Hinged metal back doorDial- Made of ormolu and porcelain with roman numerals
- Two winding holes for the two trains of the movementMovement- Brass square 8 day striking movement
- Movement signed HP & Co
- This is a striking clock and strikes the half and counts the hour on a coiled gong
- Movement will run for approximately 8 days when fully wound
- Clock has a good action and keeps good time
- Comes complete with winding key and pendulumMeasurements
- Clock measures approximately 45cm (17.5 inches) high by 25cm wide and 14cm deepCondition
- Condition is generally very good and the clock has a nice patina
