A lovely early 20th century oil on board painting by J. R. Exley (1890-1970), depicting a farmer gathering wheat, with buildings and horse-drawn wagon in the background, signed R. Exley lower left and dated (19)12.

W:36.5cm x H:29cm. The painting is in very good condition, glazed and housed in an ornate gilt frame.
