    A pair of miniatures on ivory by Martin Sourd Muet, dated 1817, representing the portrait of a man with a black coat and the portrait of his wife wearing a black dress and a coloured shawl, in two rectangular gilt bronze frames very finely chiseled. Signed 'Martin Sourd Muet 1817' (on the left), and inscribed on the back 'Jean Conrad Hottinguer' and ' ME Redwood épouse de (married to) J C Hottinguer 1817 nettoyé par (cleaned by) Rod.H sept 1941'.
