elliott original mid 20th century vintage mahogany 8-day wall clock

ITEM DESCRIPTION: A Good Quality 1940s/50s Vintage Wall Clock with Circular Mahogany Frame and Original Painted Metal Face. This has the retailer mark of J Philps of London and with the maker Elliott England also shown on the dial. The brass rimmed bezel has been restored at the joint, and remains unpolished, and is now solid. The mahogany frame and back of the clock are in very good order, no movement or chips, and have a good colour and patina. The dial is the original, and does have a little flaking to the paintwork. A key is present, and fits the winder well, I have had this running for a week without any problems, just adjusting the timer (the hole just under J.Philps) so that it gives good time. This is a simple wind-up and go clock, therefore the back does not remove, and there is no pendulum. Simple - just wind once a week, no need for fitting this precisely on your wall, no need to swing the pendulum etc - the easiest clock that you could own without being converted to battery.
