Landscape estuarine animated characters and peasant leading a herd canvas 83 cm by 63 cm Beautiful gilt wood frame with palmette directory style decor.Superb bucolic landscape of estuary edge with mills and sailing boats, animated characters with animals, this is a painting of the Dutch school XVIIIth century. Attributed to the painter Frans Swagers (Utrech1756-Paris1836) He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1791 to 1824. Many museums have works by this artist in their collections. For costume fashion (especially high waist of the dress) can be dated this painting of 1790-1800 years. Illuminated by a light southern autumnal evening. The painter reproduces with striking accuracy, foliage, animals and figures, forming a perfect whole. Oil on canvas, very good condition
