    charles x mother-of-pearl and ormolu watch holder and inkwell

    A mother-of-pearl and ormolu watch holder and inkwell depicting an angel resting on a pedestal in a semi-circular niche adorned with openwork tracery and hooks to hold jewelry, bypassed by flowers and leaves ending in a Pharaonic character. At the top, a disc decorated with openwork lattice. It rests on a rectangular base with a mother-of-pearl plate adorned with ink buckets finely chiseled with openwork patterns, symmetrically disposed on both sides of the niche and two pen holders. The base rests on four winged claw feet.
