This magnificent clock harks back to the clockmaking days in our beloved market town, Shipston on Stour. Set in a rich oak case, it features a painted dial with 'Best of Shipston' on it. Adorned with sculptured column work and ornate brass finials, it will most definitely be the talking piece of town in your home! Dating back to around 1780-1790, the clockmaker Henry Best was thought to have been working from a workshop on Church Street. Best was originally from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
