    A rare and very good quality double travelling pocket Photograph Case of plain design with curved corners
    and hinged catch, the inside having one square and one oval photograph holder retailed by Houghton & Gunn which later was bought by Asprey. Every piece with full English Hallmarks for London 1893 - Makers marks for J.B

    Good Antique Condition with a few very light dents and scratches from use as expected on the outside and slight discolouration to the velvet along on side (probably silver polish and will clean off) please view images

    A wonderful rare item not to be missed
     
    William Houghton originally established his business in 1822. By 1841, he was based at 162 Bond Street, London. It wasn’t until 1868 that he went into partnership with Charles Henry Gunn. Known as Houghton & Gunn, the business remained at the same Bond Street address until it was bought out by Asprey (its next door neighbour) in 1906.
