This is a beautiful antique Victorian bookcase, made around 1860 in England. It has been crafted from burr walnut and smothered in the most exquisite floral marquetry decoration. This bookcase was the work of a master craftsman as the profuse marquetry has been brilliantly executed. It has two glazed doors on top for displaying your favourite books, or ornaments, the two panneled doors below are ideal for storage, and there are two useful drawers in the centre. This was only recently purchased on a buying trip to Devon has not yet been restored. This will be done before delivery and the restoration is included in the price. It will bring out the beautiful colours of the marquetry and bring this piece to life again.Measurements:H 222 x W 145 x D 50cm
