This is a stunning, late 18th Century, Dutch marquetrycylinder bureau.It has been accomplished in walnut with exquisite hand-cut floral marquetry patterns typical of the period. The drawer linings are of oak. The writing slope pulls out and raises the cylinder fall to reveal a fabulous interior with a myriad of small drawers and several secret compartments, all smothered in exquisite marquetry decoration.The front of the bureau is a wondeful bombe shape and it stands on swept bracket feet.It is Circa 1780 in date and is in truly remarkable condition for its age. The handles and locks are all original. This exceptional piece represents a fantastic example of 18th century Dutch marquetry cabinetry at its very finest.It is in truly excellent condition.The matching armchair shown in the photographs is is not included in the price but is available if requiredMeasurements:Height 113 cm x Width 113 cm x Depth 62 cm
