Antique Caucasian Shirvan rug, of the so called ?bird design?
Late 19th century
A good example of this well known design; a hexagonal medallion containing an elongated octagon with bird designs, all surrounded by a floral lattice.
A very well drawn border, note the small bird in the top right hand corner
Very good condition with slight even wear, full pile
Ends have been re-fringed
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
