An important gilt bronze and malachite mantel clock representing two feminine characters supporting on their back the dial surmounted by a vulture with spread wings. The attitude and the silhouettes of the two women are almost identical: draped in the classic style, the hair attached, they give to eat bunches of grapes to two goats and hold in the hands a thyrses, symbol of Bacchanale. The enameled dial with Roman numerals for hours, Arabic for minutes and openwork pins, encircled by a garland of flowers, fruits and lattice, is signed " Raingo Frères in Paris ". The set rests on a malachite base adorned with masks on both sides and flowery rinceau and griffons on the central part, on toupie feet. Original mouvement with a thread in working condition.
