This beautiful mid 19thc Oil on canvas Portrait painting depicts a Victorian Lady within an interior setting in a half length Portrait position wearing a Bonnet and a typical Victorian black gown.
The Fine example Dates to Circa 1840-1860 and is mounted in a fabulous (Later) Ebonised & gilt wooden moulded frame which suits the painting marvellouslyThe attention to detail throughout the work is lovely and the Ladies facial features are almost life like in it's execution.The painting has been re-lined & cleaned during the past 5-7 years and it is therefore offered in overall fabulous condition and ready to be enjoyed for another 150 years +!A remarkable example that was clearly once part of a very grand residence.
