    Description:

A SPECTACULAR MASSIVE 5.7FT X 4.7FT EDWARDIAN OIL PORTRAIT PAINTING FROM THE USA

A truly impeccable extremely large original Edwardian Oil Portrait painting depicting a very affluent Gentleman in a 3-1/4 Length seated portrait position whilst wearing a formal suit.

The outstanding example Dates to Circa 1905-1910 and is mounted in what is possibly the most grandest, finest quality frame which we have ever seen!

The frame is extremely heavy and is made from solid Oak with what appears to be carved Oak Acanthus leafs running around the whole of the outer edge.

The painting itself can only be described as magnificent!

The rear of the stretcher has two very old labels, one of which is a very early label from a seller/Art gallery in Fourth Avenue, New York, the other label being a very old removal company label, quite possibly from the time it was originally shipped from the USA to Europe.

The attention to detail throughout the work is absolutely marvellous and although the work appears to be unsigned, it is clear for all to see from these images that the Artist was at the very top of he's game and in my opinion the artist was commissioned to paint this gentleman by an extremely affluent / important American family.

Offered in outstanding original condition throughout.

This truly unique & one off find will almost definitely be the main centre of attraction to any room of the house in which you choose to place it.

The asking price includes our 'Free' UK mainland fully insured delivery service.
