A Rare & Beautiful 230 Year Old Georgian Antique Long case Grandfather Clock made to a lovely standard. Made in England during the reign of King George III in around 1790 by clock maker T Mear of Dursley. The hood with swan neck pediment and later gilt eagle on ball finial and turned column supports flanking the glazed door. The long cabinet with panelled door, brass handle, canted edges and raised on a bracket feet. The case has been later ebonised and overhauled. A wonderful painted and enamelled dual signed T Mear, Dursley with painted Arabic numerals, date aperture, and ebonised case.
