A superb pair of 19th century brass Gothic Revival candlesticks.These candlesticks are of excellent quality, they are unapologetically finished in the gothic revival style revived by Augustus Welby Pugin in the 19th century.In my personal opinion they show a direct Pugin influence. They are finely decorated with vine leaf Trefoils, a pattern repeatedly used in Pugins own work.Both stand at an impressive 48cm high and 13.6cm wide.The Condition of both candlesticks is excellent, both stand straight without any damage. Upon very close inspection there is some light polishing marks.Overall a truly fantastic opportunity to acquire piece of Gothic Revival historyListed price includes free UK delivery.
