A Neapolitan Louis XVI chest of drawers
This beautiful Neapolitan Louis XVI cabinetry chest of drawers comes from Naples, is veneered in walnut heather and inlaid with precious wood species and is topped with a white statuary marble top.
It can be dated between 1740/50 in full transition between the Louis XV style and the Louis XVI style.
The facade is marked by two large drawers arranged on two levels of herringbone slabs with a diamond-shaped design in the center which is represented both in the front and on the sides.
The circular handles have a chisel with a floral motif typical of the period in the center.
It has been restored by our master craftsmen with the traditional method of shellac and artisanal alcohol.
