Circa 1930s a Japanese revival chinoiserie standard lamp. The tall elegant lamp with original fittings to the top, has a mixture of painting and chinoiserie. The fluted top with ebony and gilding beneath this, the cannon barrel stem, with chinoiserie and further painted panels, supported on a flared square base which is painted with various scenes, the base has an ogee edge which is decorated in typical Japanese motifs, all standing on 4 squat bun feet.
