A conical pair of vases in Eighteenth century porcelain with richly decorated gilt bronze mounts. The blue turquoise vases are adorned with two polychrome plates depicting an idyllic scène in the 18th century style, with a woman playing the flute in the company of a young man sitting next to her, near a fountain. On the other side, a bouquet of roses, poppies and lilac on white background. Golden foliage and ribbons surround the plates. Two small handles in white porcelain flank each vase. The ormolu mounts were realized in the 19th century. The gilt bronze handles are decorated with rosette, branches and other foliage extending toward the base, richly decorated with acanthus leaves, interlacing and friezes of pearls. Each vase rests on four foliated feet surmounted by two seated putti holding garlands.
