A large Samoan club sometimes referred to as a ‘coconut stalk club’ uatongi. The diamond shaped cross-section blade with five groups of ridges, the handle with circular cross-section that flares out with pierced triangular lug. It has a rich brown patina and dates to the 19th century. There is some minor chipping to the edge of some ridges.
