19th century victorian mahogany extending dining table

For sale is a very unusual Victorian Mahogany Extending Dining Table. The table is raised on four elegantly carved legs and the centre is supported by an exquisitely carved centre pedestal, which is a most unusual feature for a Victorian table. This piece comes with two additional leaves. The table simply has a pull out mechanism which runs remarkably smoothly for its age, once both leaves are added this allows the table to seat 12 people comfortably. The table would allow for two additional leaves if necessary which would make it seat 16 people comfortably. The table is in very good condition, having only minor wear commensurate with age and use.
