19th century victorian burr walnut pedestal desk

For sale is a good quality 19th Century Victorian Burr Walnut Pedestal Desk, of unusual form, having a shaped top, inset with a hand dyed green leather hide, with ornate decorative gold tooling, as well as nice corner and centre motifs. Below this, the top has three drawers, each cross banded with walnut and inlaid with tulipwood, and having turned knob handles. Below this, the top is supported by two pedestals, each with shaped and carved brackets, as well as three graduated drawers in each side, again with walnut cross banding and tulipwood inlays, as well as brass escutcheons. Each pedestal has a plinth base, and the desk breaks down into three parts for ease of transport. The desk is in excellent condition having been re-polished using traditional methods.
