This is an excellent 19th Century Metal Horse Sign,

Originally from a blacksmiths in London to show he was also a farrier, this is a stunning piece, dark reddish brown to the front, flaking and with beautiful patina and a lovely blue to the rear.

A lot of trade signs in the 1800s and prior were made in the shape of what was being advertised as many people could not read, this showed people that a trade relating to horses was there.
