A 19th century Irish Killarney box with a hinged lid. The box has concave sides and a shaped moulded edge to the lid. The box is profusely inlaid, in true Killarney style, with arbutus wood, yew wood, ebony and other woods along with shamrock inlays. The underside of the lid is inlaid and has a worn needlework panel, the interior would have had a tray. The box is good quality and in very good condition with some minor chips to the corners of the bottom edge.
