    Antique 19th Century French Wooden Champagne House Sign

    This is a stunning original and huge wooden Champagne House sign from Reims in Northern France, the Champagne region.

     
    It is a very solid piece with stunning colours, hand painted well over 100 years ago. The board itself is most likely a shutter or door from a very large piece of Chateau furniture re-purposed.
     
    This was most likely from a Grower Champagne that supplied direct from the vineyard and used the board for advertising outside the property.
     
    This piece would be worth centring the design of any room around but especially a kitchen or if you are lucky enough your wine cellar.
     
    The construction is very solid, it does have a piece of the wood splintered off at the back as can be seen in the photos, this is obviously not visible from the front.
