An early 19th century engraving of Sir William Forbes of Pitsligo Baronet, the famous Scottish banker (1739 - 1806). The engraving is taken from the original painting by George Sanders and engraved by William Ward, engraver to his late Majesty. The print is in a fine rosewood veneered frame with a very good quality gilded slip mount. The print is slightly discoloured, the frame is in excellent condition. (Circa 1830) Height 75cm (29.5 inches) Width 60cm (23.6 inches) Depth 4cm (1.6 inches)
