This is a lovely thing. It is a 1930s era silver mesh evening purse. The mesh is made from interlinking leaf pattern links attached to a silver frame with an albert like link chain handle. The chain is marked .935 silver and the frame of the purse .900 silver. (sterling silver is .925). It is German in origin from what I can tell marked Geflect D.R.G.M which is a German registration mark. The purse itself measures 17cm by 16cm, the drop of the chain a further 17cm. There is one leaf link missing and the balls at each end of the purse. The inside is a soft cotton. Weighs 220gms. An unusual and different piece. Item cost includes postage.
