A fine oil portrait of a well presented noble gentleman from the late 18th century (1720),posing with concentration for the artist.
The sitters face being extremely well painted by a competant hand and showing no real signs of over painting or any repairs.
This example has been refurbished many years ago and has had conservation work with canvas being laid onto old wooden panelling.
The portrait has been previosly cleaned and revarnished over past years, and is presented as a good clean example, full of charactor depth and patina, with the correct visual surface finish.
Finished in a gilt wooden plain frame, probably a later replacement, which fits nicely to provide a good visual presentation.
Height: 35.5 Inches (Including Frame)
Width 29 Inches (Including Frame)
An ideal interior design piece for the study or hallway, being ready to hang.
In all a great example of early portraiture and competatively priced to sell to any discerning buyer who wants to invest funds in art with great potential to increase in value over the coming years.
