A beautiful Regency style dining table omplete with 16 chairs. The table is made in mahogany and crossbanded in satinwood. It will seat 16 people in comfort, and 18 to 20 at a pinch. This dining table is made from flame mahogany and features an elegant crossbanded border of satinwood. The mahogany is a wonderful flame colour. The table has two removable leaves. It stands on three "gun barrel" triple leg bases which are fitted with brass toes and castors. There is no mistaking the classic and sophisticated design of these Regency style dining room chairs and armchairs with inlaid decoration. There are 2 armchairs specifically made for the head of table and 14 chairs to place either side of a grand dining table. These chairs would also be appropriate for a conference room. The chairs are typical of Regency style furniture. This style was prevalent in England during the regency (1811-1820) of George, Prince of Wales. He later become known as George IV. They all have drop in seats which are upholstered in a royal burgundy and gold.The drop in seat cushions can be removed to reveal cane seats which allow for cooler and more comfortable dining in the warmer summer months. The chairs are made from solid mahogany and feature inlaid crossbanded decoration and flame mahogany. They have been lovingly French polished and are ready to grace your dining or conference room.
