      This is an antique officer of the watch telescope. An English, mahogany and brass single draw terrestrial or astronomical refractor by Spencer, Browning & Rust, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1835.

      Perfect for bird watching, landscape appreciation, wildlife stalking, or maritime observation. Equally suitable for observing the night sky.

      • Superb early Victorian example with attractive finish
      • Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
      • Dressed in select mahogany, the barrel shows fine grain interest
      • Clear and bright, large diameter objective with a generous size of 45mm (1.75")
      • Draws with a pleasingly firm action
      • Dust cap for front element, with a sliding cover to the eyecup
      • Maker's mark to draw tube reads Spencer, Browning & Rust. London, Improved
