This stunning vintage ring, circa the late 20th century, holds four dazzling brilliant-cut diamonds with sharp, precise facets for maximum sparkle. Brilliant-cut diamonds are designed for maximum sparkle and light return. They have a round shape, a relatively large table and precisely arranged facets that create bright flashes of brilliance and fire - the uniformity of these stones, for example, gives them a crisp, consistent sparkle and a lively appearance from every angle.
The diamonds are held by platinum claws, set in an open platinum gallery. The lighter metal settings further complement the bright, brilliant diamonds, preventing their colour from being tainted by reflections from the yellow gold band and maintaining a light, bright look. The yellow gold band is rich and warm, with a buttery tone that finishes the piece perfectly and fantastically contrasts the white metal head.
Inside the band are remnants of engraving worn over time and no longer legible, alongside faded stamps, one faintly reading '18CT', the same metal this ring tests as and has been assessed as. A fabulous ring for daily wear, sparkling and bright.
