the antique 1903 edwardian ruby, diamond and sapphire ring

This wonderful ring features a combination of rubies, diamonds, and sapphires within a rectangular head, striking in design and with detailing synonymous with the Edwardian era and its love of flair and embellishment. The rubies are of a deep pinkish red colour, oval mixed cut and lustrous, bringing warmth and fire to the piece. Above the rubies, a row of rose cut diamonds, hand cut and irregular, giving the ring a charming look only found in antique pieces. A row of oval mixed cut sapphires sits above that, cornflower blue but with ever so slight tone variation, bringing the total of stones in this ring to fifteen.
The rectangular head is held by intricately engraved shoulders, their scrolling detailing gently faded over time but as beautiful as ever. The shoulders slim slightly into a plain yellow gold band with a polished finish. Inside the band is a wonderfully clear hallmark, easily legible to the naked eye. This tells us the ring was hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham in 1903, crafted in buttery 18ct gold. Next to the hallmark is a crisp maker's mark reading 'NBS'.
A wonderful ring, petite but showstopping with its sparkling gems and unique shape. This ring looks fantastic worn alone or as part of a stack, pairing wonderfully with rubies, diamonds and sapphires due to its multi-stone design.
