Circa 1850. Magnificent, matched pair of 19th century decorative gilt overmantel mirrors in excellent condition. With much original water gilding and a nice degree of wear. The pediment with a central cartouche, foliate and ribbon decorations over frieze with a row of medallions. The sides with columns with exceptionally detailed Corinthian capitals and acanthus bases, over a simple reverse breakfront base. The old (possibly original) mirror plates in excellent condition and original pine panelled backs.
