Circa 1880. Large Giltwood neo-classical style 19th Century overmantel mirror with a foliate embossed cornice above a frieze with tied ribbon and bell flower swags. The bevel glass mirror with its original plate, in excellent condition. Flanked by twin Corinthian columns with further ribbons and bell flower decorations. The moulded base with double breakfronts and shaped sides. Much original gold leaf gilding and overall, in excellent condition.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
