Circa 1920s. An unusual, stylish, carved, gilded and marble-topped console table, with a carved and gilded frame with pierced sections on top and sides, the mirror is etched with foliate designs and string lines, the top with a green mottled marble insert with two carved full-length drawers
beneath, resting on a platform burr walnut base, supported on a pair of carved, pierced and gilded legs with a large carved scallop shell in the center, the mirrored back, which is in a profusely pierced and carved frame, resting on four squat carved bun feet.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
