Circa 1810. Original George III inlaid mahogany dressing mirror. The oval mirror with its original plate in very good condition in a crossbanded frame supported on angled tapering supports with brass finials and brass axehead clasps. The base in a lovely figured mahogany with boxwood string inlay above a single serpentine front frieze drawer with brass handles, all supported on miniature ogee bracket feet.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
