These labels do come to auction fairly regularly and the above estimate is in line with current prices. The wine market remains strong as does interest in the work of Francis Bacon so I suspect this item will remain a good investment. The third year in a triumvirate of excellent Bordeaux vintages, 1990 produced rich, age worthy wines from across the Bordeaux communes. Like many of the great vintages for Bordeaux, 1990 was a hot, dry and sunny year. The vintage was a success across all communes of the region, with only a few châteaux turning in a disappointing wine.

Condition : In overall very good condition with very few blemishes to the label or the frame. There is a small mark just underneath the Philippine de Rothschild printed signature.
