    Conceived between 1887 and 1899. This example cast between 1920 and 1925. The Comité Rodin states that at least fifty casts of this model were cast between 1899 and 1963
    The individual figure of Jean de Fiennes was originally conceived in 1887 and then re-modelled in this reduced size in 1899. This example was commissioned by the Musée Rodin and cast between 1920 and 1925 by the Alexis Rudier foundry. The Comité Rodin estimates that at least fifty casts of this sculpture were made between 1899 and 1963 by the Perzika, François Rudier, Alexis Rudier and Georges Rudier foundries.
