For sale is a rare and refined Art Deco miniature porcelain plaque dating from around 1930, depicting an elegant masked lady.

The finely painted porcelain panel is set in a silver-plated metal frame with a rear support stand. Both the composition and colour palette reflect the sophisticated visual language of the Art Deco period, strongly associated with elegance, theatre, and cosmopolitan lifestyle.

Such miniature porcelain artworks required exceptional technical precision and artistic skill. Their small format made production particularly demanding, and only limited numbers were created, making surviving examples increasingly scarce today.

The plaque is signed “Hirschmann” on the porcelain surface, confirming artistic authorship and authenticity.

This type of framed porcelain miniature was intended as an intimate luxury object, designed for collectors and refined interiors rather than mass production.

    Signature
Signed “Hirschmann” on the porcelain plate.
