A late 19th century Victorian Wedgwood caneware game dish. The pottery dish is designed to look like a pastry game pie with a rabbit and other game on the lid and grapes and vines and game birds around the main body. The dish has its original tin plate metal liner and is stamped underneath 'Wedgwood'. The dish is in very good condition and rare to still have its original liner. Going from the Wedgwood three digit code we have dated the dish 1887 though the numbers are repeated so could be as early as 1861. (Circa 1887) Height 16.5cm (6.5 inches) Width 31cm (12.2 inches) Depth 22.5cm (8.9 inches) Wedgwood Caneware Game Dish
