17 1/2 " H X 24" W. with washline mount and limed oak frame & gilt slip.
H.M.Cook (1844 - 1920.) landscape specialist, lived in London & later N. Wales. Exhibited RI & NWCS.
A West Surrey heathland scene (?) - A showery day - a countrywoman approaches carrying a bucket (is she going milking ?) Gorse & bracken abound left & right and puddles stand from the last shower. Trees beyond & further - a line of blue hills.
